Arlete Apolinário

PhD Student

Arlete Apolinário, was graduated in Applied Physics in the Physics and Astronomy Department of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto in 2008, and completed the Integrated Masters of Engineering Physics in 2011 in the same facilities. She is a PhD student (in the MAP-Fis program) since 2011 at IFIMUP-IN, under the topic: Photoelectrochemical cells for hydrogen production from solar energy. Her domain of specialization is in nanostructured semiconductors (titania and hematite nanotubes) syntheses by electrochemical anodization and preparation of self-organized metallic nanowires by nanoporous alumina templates.

She is an autonomous equipment user: Scanning Electron Microscopy and X-ray Microanalysis, Atomic Force Microscopy, Magnetic Force Microscopy and Scanning Tunneling Microscopy. She is a co-author of 11 papers in in international peer review journals,in which 4 has a 2nd author.
